Hebrew Free Loans

Jewish Federation provides interest-free, micro-finance loans to Jewish residents of Middlesex County facing challenging financial needs.

Hebrew Free Loan Criteria

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. An employed Jewish adult at least 25 years of age who has been a resident of Middlesex County for a minimum of 1 year.
  2. Total loans cannot exceed $2500.
  3. Must show capability of repayment and proof of need.

 

Guarantors

  1. One Guarantor with a separate address is required (U.S. resident).
  2. Guarantor must produce pay stub of past 30 days or prior year’s tax return.
  3. No clergy or Jewish Community professional can be a guarantor.
  4. Guarantor must reside in the Greater Metropolitan area, or somewhere in the U.S. if an immediate family member.

 

Loan

  1. Challenging financial need
  2. Employment (cars, school)
  3. Medical
  4. Rent, mortgage (utilities) – only if it’s a temporary situation and future payments are possible.
  5. $250 minimum; $2,500 maximum
    • 
    monthly repayment after 30 days
    •  repayment minimum $50/month with 24 month maximum repayment
  6. Additional loans may be considered after 3 years from repayment of prior loan, unless the prior loan amount was for less than $2500.00
