Opportunities that Enrich Lives

Jewish Federation is proud to support an array of wonderful opportunities that enrich the lives of people living within Middlesex County

These grants are available due to the generosity of community members who have established endowment funds at the Federation.  In addition, Federation solicits funding from foundations and other private sources to supplement funding.  When you encourage the community to support the Jewish Federation, you ensure that these important opportunities continue.

  • Need Based Camp Scholarship

    The Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey provides assistance to enable as many Jewish youth as possible to have meaningful Jewish experiences.

  • Israel Teen Grants

    The Mona and Sheldon Gottfried Fund, the Mary and Rudy Klein Fund, Berenice and Zvi Levavy Fund, and the Dave and Ceil Pavlovsky Fund provide teen grants of $1,000 to Middlesex County Jewish high school students to visit Israel.

  • Impact DC: Teen Advocacy Program

    The Senator Laurence and Edith Weiss Jewish Activism Grant provides a full scholarship to Middlesex County students entering 10th- 12th grades to attend IMPACT:DC summertime program.

  • JTEAM

    The JTEAM Teen Philanthropy Program is comprised of a select group of high school students who meet monthly to learn about amazing non-profits, which service our community, Israel and other countries around the world.

  • JServe

    J-Serve is the International Day of Jewish Youth Service. Since 2005, J-Serve has been a part of Youth Service America's Global Youth Service Day weekend.

  • Context Adult Learning

    Federation and Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) provide an adult Jewish text-based course beginning Fall 2014 with Rabbi Eliezer Diamond on "The Siddur: History, Structure and Theology"

  • Recognizing Innovative Educators

    Recognize a synagogue educator who has developed or implemented creative, innovative programs or services that exemplify Jewish values by nominating them for the 2014 Grinspoon Awards for Excellence in Jewish Education.

  • Community Mission to Israel

    Select one of three tailored itineraries to see Israel Like You've Never Seen Before, Israel and the Finer Things in Life:Food, Wine and Culture or Israel on the Leading Edge: a Medicine, Hi-tech, or Start-Up Nation Tour from October 26 to November 3, 2014

  • Hebrew Free Loans

    Jewish Federation of Greater Middlesex County has provided interest-free, micro-finance loans to Jewish residents of Middlesex County facing challenging financial needs.
