Be there at a turning point for Cuba. Excitement and uncertainty accompany the coming normalization of relations between the United States and Cuba. With so many changes predicted, there may be little time left to see Cuba as it’s preserved today.

  • Travel back in history at the Jewish cemetery and its Holocaust memorial, the Old Jewish Quarter, and Adath Israel, Havana’s Orthodox synagogue.
  • See the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), one of our Federation beneficiary agencies, in action as it strives to strengthen and revitalize the local Jewish community.
  • Tour the Patronato Synagogue, including its community center, Sunday school, pharmacy, and library.
  • Meet with young adults of the Jewish community and have an interactive discussion about growing up Jewish in Cuba.
  • Participate in havdalah with the Jewish community, followed by an Israeli dance troupe performance.
