  • JTEAM Teen Philanthropy

The JTEAM Teen Philanthropy Program is comprised of a select group of high school students who meet monthly to learn about amazing non-profits, which service our community, Israel and other countries around the world.  Throughout the school year, participants will meet community leaders, experienced philanthropists, engage in in-depth discussions on Jewish values of giving while building the skills and knowledge to make these important funding decisions. At the end of the year, members decide together where to donate their funds. Our concluding celebration will give members, their families and fund recipients an opportunity to celebrate an amazing year of learning and giving.

Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to:

· Hang out and make friends with other teens – like you – who want to make a difference.

· Get to know your community – its challenges and successes, its diversity and needs.

· Perform mitzvot, or good deeds.

· Discuss how Jewish values apply in today’s world.

· Learn about the role of money, wealth and power in our culture.

· Receive community service credit and leadership training.

· Have a great a time and make a real difference.
