All three of us jointly spoke to one counselor, who then saw each of us individually. I received help honing my interview skills because I hadn’t worked in 12 years. In truth, I got a lot of help in every aspect of my life.
After Hurricane Sandy we turned to Federation for support once again. They shared gift cards and the kids received toys.
The Jewish community has been there every step of the way to keep me and my family on the right path.
As my salary grows, I’ve needed less assistance. There are much needier people out there. In five years I’ve come a long way -- thanks especially to the Federation.
